Howdy and welcome back to the blog! God has been doing all sorts of things in January, so I am excited to share everything with you. Worship at Winter Camp 2022 First thing I want to share with you is about Winter Camp. God really looked out for our community by keeping Sky Ranch staffed and functional so we could still have camp. Beyond just getting us to camp safely and soundly, We had little to no outbreaks of flu or covid. BEYOND THAT, God moved in the lives of so many students that weekend. I had a handful of students I got to bring to camp: Kade, Eric, and Hart.   Me, Kade, and Eric in the big chair at Camp Hart and I in the big chair Each of them had a great experience meeting more people in our community, worshipping as a body, and hearing Rikk Watt’s teachings throughout the week. Kade and I had so many encouraging conversations about God. He is truly seeking God’s will for his life and loved getting to meet other Christians seeking like he is. Kade and I will be studying ...

Emily and I getting dinner with my core guy, Alex, with his family during the break. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year y'all! What a year 2021 was. I wanted to start this blog with saying thank you to you all. These first couple months getting to do ministry has been very life changing. Emily and I have gotten to reflect on all the change in our lives, with getting married, moving, and both of us getting to work with FOCUS together. I have grown and matured in my faith in ways that will positively affect the health of our marriage the rest of our lives. These past couple months have been priceless, and I have been very blessed to serve in them. So thank you! Things to update you on at TCC: We finished out the school semester strong, I will be starting some new Focus on Jesus studies with 4 of the guys there, and we had an end of the year Christmas party.   Celebrating our fun Christmas party L to R (Austin, Olivia, Eldrian, Kade, Jefferey, Me, Emily, Taylor, Chris, Stephen, a...

This is a graphic I made for our FOCUS Instagram page. I co-run our social media with my friend, Bailey. It has been a fun way to serve and use my art education. The group pictured above is our Wednesday night Men's Core. Such a fun group. Our lovely TCC Core. From left to right: Angel, Eldrian, Chris, Stephen, Kade, Olivia, Rowan, and Ashley. Emily, Taylor, and I are the goofs in the front. What an encouraging group. Howdy friends! Another month of ministry has passed and I have more updates for you on what God is doing at UTA and TCC.        At Tarrant County College (TCC), I had shared with you about our group of three consistent students. Well they have been so invitational, and our outreach effort has produced such good fruit, we now have a group of about 10-12 students. Our times in core have been so sweet, as each student is engaged and ready to share. We talked about the Holy Spirit last week. Some had more knowledge on the person of the Spirit, but everyone ...

(A sweet moment captured at Fall Camp by my friend Nathan. This is a student named Forrest and I getting to know each other during a "walk and talk". Obviously we opted for a "sit and chat") Hey friends and family! I have another update for what God has done on campus in the lives of these sweet students. I want to thank you again for partnering with me in this ministry. In a lot of ways, these students are only getting met with through YOU and YOUR contribution to this kingdom mission.   (TCC Core back in October. From right to left: Minh, Rowan, Taylor, Me, Emily, Eldrian) The first bit of exciting news to share is about TCC, Tarrant County College. Taylor Nelson, one of my copastors, Emily, my wife, and I have been heading up the TCC Northeast campus. We just planted there this semester, so it’s so very small and fresh. We set out in August, going on campus and just meeting with students who seemed to be interested in Christ and community. Soon enough, we had thr...

September is over, and I have so much Kingdom News to share. Thank you for your prayers and your partnership to make these stories happen. Ronnie and I at Mcdonalds      This is my friend Ronnie. He is from India, and is currently studying his masters. He has been very excited about ministry and community. We just started doing a study of the Bible together called Focus On Jesus. It’s a ten week study FOCUS put together to help facilitate meaningful conversations about scripture and life. I’m doing it with a couple students, and Ronnie is just so eager to learn more about Jesus. We just recently got to share our testimonies together, talked about the role of prayer in our life, and he even shared with me he is interested in being a minister himself. God has put a love for learning and serving on Ronnie’s heart. Please continue to pray over students like Ronnie, that they might come to know Christ fully. Everyone from Fall Camp Emily, Richmond, and myse...
